Here are some pictures of Audrey Niffenegger's sketches at the Printworks Gallery in Chicago. I really liked the one titled "Falling". It made me think a little bit of Alice in Wonderland mixed with the pleasure of falling into a story while reading and not being able to stay perched on the precipice of reality. Some of the sketches are a bit strange, though!

Wow that was interesting. She certainly has a specific style, though it creeps me out a little. Wonder what the story is behind those three incestuous sisters. I thought "death comforts the mother" was so strange with that bony hand on the back of the pregnant woman. She has so much female/infant/death in her art...I wonder why that combination of things appeals to her.
WOW! I just had a chance to look at the artwork and that is quite strange. I'm not sure I'd ever be able to relate to an "artist" type personality. I just don't seem to understand the way they think.
Very bizarre... She does seem to be into the female/infant/death in her art. It seems creepy to me also, Becky.
