It's been too long since we had a new post, so even though I don't have anything extremely "post-worthy", here goes.
I'm currently reading A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking. It's a short book about the deepest physics discoveries and mysteries of our universe. It's in lay-mans terms, which means I can understand about half of it. Ha! I am notoriously bad at math and never took an advanced math class in my life. I think most people would find this book interesting. I probably could understand even more if I really slowed down and thought through each idea that is presented. He has an easy to read style, and honestly I am impressed with his ability to explain some very complex scientific principles.
I recently finished The Jane Austen Book Club and forgot to give it to Rachel on Friday as planned. Sorry! If you like Jane Austen it's a fun read because it pulls in her 6 books as the characters in this book meet together to discuss them. However, the actual discussing of the Austen books is limited and more emphasis is given to the characters' histories and current lives. I would have liked more Austen discussion from them!
I also recently finished One Hundred Years of Solitude. That was an interesting book. It's unusual and kept me intrigued. It gave me the feeling that I was listening to an old woman tell tall tales by a campfire. I highly recommend it, and I know Rachel would also since it's one of her favorite books. That's why I tried it.
Happy Reading everyone!
Let us know what you've been reading lately, if you get a chance.
