Blast from the Past

I've been on a kick recently- reading some old favorites I remember liking as a young teen. One of those was A Wrinkle in Time by L'Engle. I found that I hardly remembered it at all after so many years, so it was like reading it for the first time. I enjoyed it, so I read the next book A Wind in the Door. (I never realized before that there are 4 books in a series, A Wrinkle in Time is just the first.) I did not have the next two in the series, but I had a different book by L'Engle called A Swiftly Turning Planet, so I read that instead. Wow! It was really good. It's a mix of fantasy, science fiction, mythology, religious themes, and a very intricate story line that impressed me. It didn't seem like a young adult book, perhaps it is not intended to be. I am now going to search Amazon for other L'Engle titles and pick up a few from the library. She's a talented author.
